Justine and Janina were serendipitously placed together as roommates on a trip to Bali after both felt “called” to fly halfway across the world to attend a retreat. Among all the blessings that Bali had to offer on that adventure, it turns out that embarking on this path to teach others about their spiritual awakening and finding their balance was also one of the reasons! Justine SanFilippo, MS, CHC has been a Health and Wellness coach and Nutritionist for 14 years. She first went on her own personal weight loss transformation by losing 45 lbs and 4 sizes and has kept it off for 15 years. She is also the author of the book Lose Your Inches Without Losing Your Mind! - available at www.happyhealthypeople.com. She found her passion for helping others achieve their weight loss and health goals, and now she is also helping people on a soul level to bring in the mind/body/spirit connection.
She enjoys teaching others about how to navigate their spiritual path and wants to reassure them that all this “weird” stuff is normal. She is a Certified Reiki Practitioner and loves to help her clients cleanse and clear their energy, release emotional blocks, and guide them on their life path. She offers Intuitive Reiki sessions and Health Coaching sessions both in-person and remotely.

Janina Washington is the founder of Balanced Retreats. www.balancedretreats.com
She is an Instructor for both Reformer and Mat Pilates, a Certified Reiki Practitioner, and an Intuitive Animal Communicator. Holding space for people and animals to restore balance is very rewarding for her.
Janina is German-born and British raised by a German mother and an American Cherokee father. Her very esoteric and spiritually inclined mother introduced Janina to the world of Healers, Reiki Masters and Mediums at a very young age. She is also trained in musical theater, acting, singing, and studied dance for over a decade. When she moved to LA, she discovered Pilates, which offered the mind/body connection she was looking for, as well as an excellent workout. Since 2014, she’s been teaching Pilates classes all around LA!
She likes to incorporate DōTerra Essential Oils into her practice for the wonderful scents, as well as for the healing benefits. When she’s not busy with the above, she is raising two rescued pit bulls with her plant-based chef boyfriend and is an avid Vegan and animal advocate.
